This blog will be my home base for adventure blogging. My name is Andrew Carlson, I am a teacher and outdoor enthusiast. When I turned 30, I decided to go back out and try to see as many National Parks as I can. This blog is going to capture the ups, downs, and in between.

This blog gets its name from my fear of bears. I have had one for a long time despite spending A LOT of time in bear country. I have reluctantly accepted it as my spirit animal after years and years of teasing by my friends!
